about.

about.

Citizen's Science Quarterly aims to provide an outlet for local science-based work done by local scientists and to inform neighbors of issues directly impacting them. CSQ will publish timely scientific articles that facilitate informed citizen decision-making. These articles will be accessible through an online database. Selected articles will also be published in print in the Citizens Science Quarterly supplement of the Red Hook Star Revue. Find it in newspaper boxes all over South Brooklyn!

CSQ publishes articles about science in the region, as well as in areas that are geographically and/or demographically similar to South Brooklyn. These include low-lying coastal areas that are highly vulnerable to climate change, flooding, and extreme weather, as well as former or currently industrial or mixed industrial-and-residential areas that are non-affluent and have a diverse demographic. The selection of articles will focus on the challenges facing Red Hook, surrounding neighborhoods, or similar locations.
